False Prophet or False God?

Hmmm...it would appear that as in all things, the Lord was quite ready for the likes of Mr. Camping. One only has to consider his activities in light of the final verses of the Book of Revelation

I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
Rev 22:18-19(NAS)

I find that one of the most chilling reasons that people get sucked into the these groups is because they really haven't read, or studied the Bible themselves. The number of individuals who claim to be believers and yet have never even read the entire Bible through once would astonish you.

Part of the onus for this Camping situation does belong to the Church. In its many forms it has failed to equip its members to study the Word and put on the full armor of God. So once again, the world laughs at "crazy "'Christians'."

In fact, why weren't more Christian leaders, behaving like Paul, and calling out Camping on the carpet for his deception and false teaching from the pulpit, airways,etc. ?
